The ability of a Christian to live a Christ-like life does not come from himself. Paul explains that it is in Christ that we have been made able to do good works. It is not us, but Christ in us that enables us to live a righteous life. We have to understand that we are not good people. Yes, we may do good deeds, but we also sin and break God’s law. We need to be changed by Christ, and once we are changed, we must walk in Christ’s ways. We aren't perfect and never will be on this side of Heaven, but the Holy Spirit continues to work in us each day to help us put off our sin and live for Jesus. Have you been changed by Jesus?
