The death and resurrection of Jesus is the central theme of the Gospel. The Good News or Gospel is about what God has done to save His people. At the heart of this work is His death and rising from the dead.
In dying He paid the price of our sin. In rising from the dead, Christ became the firstborn of the Resurrection from the dead. Our hope for eternal life rests in the fact that Christ was once dead and, by His power, rose from the dead. The authority to lay down and take His life back up is rooted in the fact that He is not just a man, but also 100% God. He has come from the Father with authority and a charge to do this work to save His people.
Sometimes we can feel unwanted or unloved. In this world human relationships can be rough and easily broken. Look to Jesus, the God who knows you. He died and arose for you. He did that because He loves you and you are His. How great is this love? It is without measure!
