We see here the compassion of our Lord and Savior. God has all authority to tell us what to do with the force of a Drill Sergeant, yet He comes to His people with compassion and love. He comes to you as a Loving Father and cares for you. He is preparing His people for the difficulties to come so that they might remember. This is why it is important for us to know our Bibles; so we can remember the accounts of God’s working. The same Jesus that cared for the Disciples cares for you. The same God that shut the lion’s mouths, who parted the Red Sea, who heard Hannah’s tears; this God is your God and He cares for you!
