Jesus is the only way to the Father and eternal life (John 14:6). The Father has given Jesus the authority of eternal life by sending Him to be the redeemer of God’s people. He has the power to save by His perfect life and perfect work on the Cross. He is our substitute in the atonement. He has taken our sin and our place and has imputed to us His own righteousness before God. If you have been saved it is because you have believed in Jesus Christ.
